The Historical Building during the 13th Annual Classic Car Show & Harley Revue, July 10, 2013.

Also on the main level was a business owned by Fannie Meyer Rose, who displayed gorgeous handmade hats for ladies. Large plumes, velvet ribbons, smart curves and exquisite colors, Fannie found a market that appealed to the city. Although her store front exhibited proper decorum and taste, a bustling bordello in the back generated a steady income that more than sustained Fannie’s lifestyle.

Although Fannie eventually faded from Duluth, the new owners and operators of the shop, Don & Pat Garofalo, are offering a sweet escape in this historical building.
